Hello Church Family,
Since the Covid-19 crisis is not over, we will need to be flexible and continue to comply with local and state mandates for public safety. This week, both Lake County and the State of Indiana have determined that masks must be worn by everyone in public spaces when social distancing is difficult.
With that, we are asking everyone at Hope Church to wear a mask as you enter the Franklin Center building (where we meet) and keep it on until after the worship portion of our service. Following worship, you may remove your mask to listen to the message and keep it off for as long as you remain seated. When the service is finished, please put your mask back on to help with putting away chairs and equipment or to exit the building. Exceptions to this mandate would include anyone that has trouble breathing in a mask for medical reasons and children under the age of 2 years old. We are also asking that you bring a mask if you have one. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for you.
Please do not let this added step keep you from worshipping and fellowshipping with your church family. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us of the importance of our meeting together: “Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
We must be determined to not let the devil have his way. He would love to keep us separated, and we must choose to say “no” to his plan by coming together every time we can. Let’s live in God’s triumphant victory, even in the midst of a global health crisis. I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
Much love and many blessings,
Pastor Todd Cosenza
